Not too sure why would anyone do this to themselves but a week before the deadline I decided to make my mock-up new business card a reality:
I did needed to though as the old ones went out of date with my website being live and having a e-mail that actually has my name as the ending which makes me look all professional and such. It had to be done.
I also had a new concept of the cards. this time they would be double sided and have a catch up line for each different type of people I meet:
- the potential client
- the future collaboration
- the industry professionals
- the passing model
I experimented with color in order to choose the right one as printed color looks different from on screen.
Documented the whole process trough photographic images as I find it easier that way to tell a story.
I hand cut every single one of my business cards
Met a very nice Foundation student specialising in graphic design. Had lovely conversation about the future plans and stuff.
And the final amount of my cards. Every single one of them is special as every single person that gets one.
Was thinking to do the final images in the studio but then the day in the park was so nice I decided to just do it in the central park in the city centre.
I used nano flake ink to get a spot varnish look.
used heat reactive ink to create the excitement and to be fare just to try it out at it does no damage to the final design.

Business plan.
I started meetings with a business student Lewis, oh yeah, he has been in young apprentice:
We have been discussing my future plans for business and he has been explaining the whole process and possibilities and legalities. He prepared a whole presentation for our firs meeting and researched into the creative industry. I like the enthusiasm. We have discussed all the topics named beneath, the next meeting will be held on a Sunday after the deadlines to discuss the business plan writing. I have came up with an idea and a concept. Still working on the name tho.
I looked trough all the studios that I liked and picked up what they specialize in:

PASSION
None of the names are right yet. But I'll get there.
Only recently i started a manifesto, this is the first point:
1. The goal cannot be the finish line or the top. The goal should be the process and every skill you learn whilst you are reaching out. As everyone can reach the top by accident but it’s the skilfull ones that can do it over and over again. (bouldering)

Then I sat in studio 3 for two days and build up the prepared poster.

Fredrik: Jesus christ! So nice! Happy Easter to you as well. Everyone at SNASK loves you!
I am officially loved by Snask. I am not even sure where this is going anymore. I know I have started and definitely maintained the conversation with them and hopefully I am going to make it into an annual thing. I enjoy doing these small postcards a lot and I will not stop making them.

Honesty. Lord Whitney.
I used the same honest approach with Lord Whitney a studio based in Leeds that specialize in prop making and set design. I e-mailed them just asking if they have any spaces available and could I do a placement or come and visit. I did get to visit them and be part of the first meeting of their grand idea to make Leeds into a more cultural and creative environment. We talked about the future of Leeds and there were many very interesting people that came and I decided that I definitely need to do GOLD AGAIN as there was a lot of good reactions about this project. I am happy there is such an amazing group of people in Leeds. And it proved my that there are a lot of honesty and sympathy in ths creative industry an it's not about competition... It's actually the opposite. I think the best people in the industry don't create to compete, they create to make an impact and to make great work that they love. There is no wrong or right approach to anything. There is only the approach that every individual person chooses.
